99 Crafting Guide

Welcome to my Crafting Guide. Please note that this is my guide and that there may be other better options available.

Starting out:

When you first start crafting there isn’t a lot that you can do and it will be boring so you will need to stick with it. There is methods that can make money and methods that will lose a lot of money but whatever route you pick it will be worth it.

So let’s start off with how to get to 99 from 1 then I will expand and explain.

1-11 Craft leather gloves
11-20 Craft leather bodies
20-28/99 Spin flax
28-38 Craft hard leather bodies
38-43 Craft coifs
43-57 Cut diamonds
57-60 Craft Green dragon vamps
60-63 Craft Green dragon legs
63-71/99 Craft Green dragon bodies
71-84 Craft Blue dragon bodies
84-99 Craft black Dragon bodies

This is the route I would take for the max xp gained at each level and also fastest way to 99. This route can lose a lot of money depending if you buy all your hides/gems or you gather them yourself and tan yourself (just remember that’s a lot to collect all by yourself)

So let’s explain:

1-11 Craft leather gloves

This is the fastest route to get between these levels and stops you changing what you’re making every 5 minutes. If you fancy a change you can make all the items in between levels 1-11 but it will change the amount of tanned cow hides you need. To make the leather gloves you will need some thread a needle and soft tanned cow hides. To make them all you need to do is use the needle with the tanned hides and select leather gloves (make x (type a number higher than 27))

11-20 Craft leather bodies

This is the same reasons to get between levels 11-20 as 1-11 so I am not going to explain, also to make the leather bodies is the same method as making the gloves but picking bodies instead.

20-28/99 Spin flax ---->

In this part to get to 99 craft you will need to make some money as you now might be running short of cash or just might need some more as a reserve for your 99.

Note: spinning flax you will always make a profit even if you buy it and sell back spun.

The places you can spin your flax are: Barbarian Village, Crafting Guild, Falador, Gnome Stronghold (quest area), Lletya (quest area), Lumbridge Castle, Neitiznot (quest area), Rellekka, Seers' Village, Sophanem (quest area), and Witchaven.

Though there is all these places where you can spin your flax I would only recommend a few of them: Lumbridge Castle (2nd floor – use bank on top floor), Lletya (quest area) and Seers' Village.

28-38 Craft hard leather bodies
To make the hard leather bodies you need your thread and needle again. You will also need some hard leather. While making these do so the same way as soft leather gloves and bodies.

38-43 Craft coifs

Made the same way as all leather items are. Use soft leather.

43-57 Cut diamonds

From here on in unless spinning flax be prepared to lose a lot of money.

Cutting diamonds are very fast xp but you can lose a fair amount of cash by doing this so make sure you keep an eye on the prices of diamonds and try to buy them cheap and sell the cuts for a minimal lose.

57-60 Craft Green dragon vamps

From here use Stealing Creation needles (need about 6000 points to get 99)

As with crafting any leather you need your needle and thread so out they come again. Make as if you was making any other leather item.

60-63 Craft Green dragon legs

As with crafting any leather you need your needle and thread so out they come again. Make as if you was making any other leather item.


63-71/99 Craft Green dragon bodies

As with crafting any leather you need your needle and thread so out they come again. Make as if you was making any other leather item. I have said do this from 63 to 99 as it will lose the least amount of cash from here but you will still lose about 50mil with sc needles so get ready to say bye to your cash.

71-84 Craft Blue dragon bodies

As with crafting any leather you need your needle and thread so out they come again. Make as if you was making any other leather item.

84-99 Craft black Dragon bodies

As with crafting any leather you need your needle and thread so out they come again. Make as if you was making any other leather item.

Once you have mastered the skill and reached level 99 you may want to buy yourself a Crafting Cape from the master crafter inside of the Crafting Guild

I met a person who got 99 crafting off of flax. Took them forever lmfao, so I don't suggest flax for those of you who have a time frame to get 99 crafting.

Nice guide, but this can be very expensive. I have a friend who's 86 Crafting that is f2p. Gain's money actually.
